Giới thiệu
The WHL GROUP
The WHL Group is a private company incorporated in Hong Kong and operated by a team from Australia, Brazil, South Africa, the USA, UK, and Vietnam. The whl.travel business (an OTA for emerging economies) is the original business of the WHL Group and started life as a development project in the Mekong region (a project operated by the IFC, part of the World Bank Group) trying to find new ways to get travel product from the developing world online and able to be transacted just as it is in the West. Company ended up (after several false starts) with the franchise type model they have today and which they have developed for scaling most of businesses . With this model WHL have local partners in the destinations who do all the things best done locally (including working directly with the local accommodation providers and with travellers) and whl.travel does all the things best done centrally (technology, web marketing etc.). In March 2006 WHL was spun off from the IFC as a private company.
WHL has worked closely over the years with groups like the IFC, World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, the EU, the South Pacific Tourism Organisation, Pacific Trade and Invest and others, and is regarded as a leader in SME development in tourism.
The WHL Group today has evolved to become in effect a travel incubator …albeit with a couple of unique attributes. First is that the group has developed very deep domain expertise in working with small and medium scale tourism operators in both the developed world and the developing world. This SME sector has special needs, not only in the products they use (low cost, integrated, easy to use) but also in how you sell to and support them. Second, most technology development and support is now done by a wholly owned subsidiary in Vietnam (Tadidi company).
Tadidi JSC
Tadidi JSC is a wholly owned subsidiary of the WHL Group and functions as the technology and support hub for the group. Over the past 13 years the team has built tremendous domain expertise in the travel sector and travel technology, and hence are able to bring new platforms to market very quickly. Once a business is beyond the incubation stage, permanent tech and support staff are recruited to continue to develop and support platforms launched. Tadidi also provides other outsourced support services to the group companies such as accounting services. The company is now the largest travel technology development group in Vietnam and has started getting order from companies outside the WHL group to build and maintain platforms.
From a small team in Ho Chi Minh city in 2002 of just a few people they now have dozens of staff working from offices in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.

Offering a unique online booking service to both travellers and travel service providers by marrying the best of what can be done locally (local knowledge, local relationships, respect for local environment) with best practices in global marketing, technology and information systems that are appropriate for use in all countries.
