Promoting a global dialogue
Eni work in an international context. Eni people live all around the world as part of the communities in which they work. Consequently, the value of diversity is indispensable. Differences in personal and cultural orientation are considered both a resource and a source of mutual enrichment – qualities that are an essential part of the sustainability of business. Eni respects the dignity of each individual and offers equal opportunity regardless of race, colour, gender, religion, nationality, political opinion, sexual orientation, social status, age or any other condition unrelated to the requirements of the job. Eni support and promote mobility and international development because they consider them important for professional and personal growth and as a way to foster better communication right across the organisation.
The value of diversity
Equality of opportunity between men and women is a pillar of their talent and governance policies, while integration with local communities has been a constant feature of the way of working since the foundation of the company. Eni vision of diversity has a single unifying factor: the enrichment of their people; a genuinely strategic factor in maintaining the excellence that sets them apart.
Eni has always been a company that cares. They constantly aim to look after people, the territories and communities they work in, and the partners they work with so that they create a sense of shared values.
Caring is a crucial concept in Eni’s strategic vision. Focusing on people is a core value; part of our DNA. This is the reason why Eni has invested in welfare initiatives over the years and in important areas for their people including family, health and well-being.
Supporting the family is a fundamental element in Eni’s welfare programme. Here are some initiatives we provide to help people with their work/life balance:
Eni 0-6 Nursery School
Eni 0-6 is the company’s pre-school nursery that was set up in 2010. It offers a model experience based on a world-class educational approach that provides maximum flexibility (12 months a year, Monday to Friday with extended opening times). Eni 0-6 is currently available in San Donato Milanese, but we are looking at ways of extending this to other locations.
Summer trips for the children of Eni employees (from 6 to 14 years old) are rooted in Eni’s history. They take place at various seaside and mountain locations across Italy under the supervision of qualified teachers and feature many diverse recreational activities, sports and educational workshops.
Eni summer camp for 15 and 16 year olds is like an extended study tour with a tailored English language programme. It’s a chance to mix culture, nature and learning!
Health and Well-being
The health of their people and their families is important to Eni. This is why we promote healthy lifestyle choices and regular prevention campaigns.
Eni invests in helping people to achieve a quality work/life balance and on promoting the best way to make their everyday lives better, such as the Well-being Programme, which gives discounted access to various sports facilities.
