Established in 2004 and licensed by the Vietnamese Government, Vietnam Australia International School (VAS) is a private school group within the national education system offering K – 12 education program. From the school year of 2013 – 2014, the Cambridge International curriculum is delivered and integrated with the national curriculum, makes VAS the first of its kind in Ho Chi Minh City to offer a unique dual program with double graduation diplomas granted by the Cambridge IEstablished in 2004 and licensed by the Vietnamese Government, Vietnam Australia International School (VAS) is a private school group within the national education system offering a K–12 education programmes. At present, VAS is offering educational services to nearly 5,000 students from K through 12 at 6 campuses in Ho Chi Minh City.

For the last two school years 2013-2014 and 2014-2014, VAS has successfully implemented the Cambridge International Programme in parallel with the National Programme. VAS’s students have gained tremendous achievements in both academic and personal development. Riding on the success of the past years, from the 2015-2016 school year, VAS will continue to offer its students the opportunity to pursue the Cambridge International Programme as complementary to the National Programme.

Additionally, VAS will offer an alternative study pathway for its students, which combines an intensive English Proficiency Programme with the National Programme. Both study pathways are benchmarked with internationally and nationally recognized qualifications/certifications, and are carefully designed to suit students in Vietnam.

At present, VAS has more than 700 local and foreign teachers, 100% of them with university degree and 15% with postgraduate degrees. Additionally, the teacher, who teach the Cambridge International Programme, are trained and certified by the Cambridge International Examinations under Cambridge University.

VAS focus on developing attractive employment policies and working conditions for all teachers. Teachers are offered great opportunities for professional development and career advancement. As a result, VAS has become attractive recruiter for both local and international teachers.

TRAINING SCHEDULE

In order to support teachers’ profesional development as well as to update the most advanced education methods, VAS usually organizes training programs and competitions for teachers such as teacher of good performance, teacher of creative talent,… so that all teachers may have the chance to experience, develop and perform their best in education

August 2nd, 2016 – August 5th, 2016: National Programme - professional training for High school and Primary school teacher
August 1st, 2016 – August 5th, 2016: Cambridge Academic Programme – professional training seminar
