Texchem’s journey began with the establishment of the Industrial Division in 1973. Today, this Division has expanded to become a regional leader in the sales and distribution of industrial raw materials and additives and an experienced manufacturer of textile auxiliaries.

They have established a presence in major cities in ASEAN, including Penang, Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru in Malaysia, Bangkok in Thailand, Jakarta and Surabaya in Indonesia, Hanoi, Danang and Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam, Singapore, Myanmar and the Philippines . Group Training & Development

For continuous employees’ development, training and development is one of the most important facet in Texchem. In line with the Strategic Group HR Plan, they are establishing a system to continuously:

  • Identify knowledge gap needed by the employees to accomplish their job.
  • Identify training programs suitable to achieve company and group objectives.
  • Establish training support from both internal and external resources.
  • Continuous assessment on the effectiveness of training programs.

Texchem Ladies’ Club was established to provide an additional platform for them to gain exposure, relevant skills and knowledge.

Intrapreneur Hunt

Intrapreneur Hunt aims to identify talented managers in Texchem Group and transform these individuals into Intrapreneurs. Texchem’s Group Human Resource Department is constantly working closely with the President & Group CEO to identify suitable candidates for this program and the Group CEO shall spend a day to “job buddy” with the selected candidate.

In line with this program, Texchem’s Group HR has formulated a system to ensure there is always a continuous flow of fresh talents through the hiring of fresh graduates.

Corporate Affair Committee (CAC)

Young managers from diverse educational background and experiences are selected from respective business divisions to be members of CAC. They deliberate on the company’s corporate affairs and businesses on a monthly basis and this provides the hands-on approach for talent development as they deal on real issues faced by Texchem.

Since the inception of CAC in 2004, 25 of its members have graduated and 17 of them currently hold senior management roles in Texchem.

Service Awards

The Texchem Service Award Program is one of the avenues used to acknowledge and encourage employee loyalty. It is way to tell employees that their contribution is appreciated and that their hard work is the reason the company continues to grow. The award is presented to employees who have been with the company for five years, and again at every increment of 5 years.

Presidential Awards

Started in 2014 with the aim of encouraging innovation, the Presidential Award is awarded at division and group levels to employees who introduce new methods, ideas or products. The winner of each division presents their project during the yearly Managers’ Conference. The winner receives RM10,000 in cash and a winning challenge trophy.

On 15th January 2016, the TXPM team, representing the Polymer Engineering Division won the 2016 Presidential Award with their presentation entitled “Building Block Concept Production for Aerospace Interior Parts”.

Work-Life Balance

Texchem Ladies Club: Texchem Ladies Club was established in year 1989 with its main objective being to empower and develop leaders amongst female employees. Since its establishment, many activities have been held to encourage the participation of female employees and to showcase their talents and strengths.

The Club’s activities include:
