The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is a global management consulting firm and the world’s leading advisor on business strategy. Now in sixth decade, BCG continue not only to grow but also to embody the same timeless sense of purpose and the constant call for renewal that founder Bruce Henderson instilled at their inception.
The Boston Consulting Group has offices in more than 90 cities in 50 countries and has more than 16,000 employees, 900 partners, and 20,000 alumni.
Since its founding, BCG has grown at an extraordinary rate without diminishing the unique qualities that make people want to work for—and with—the firm. It’s an exceptional feat, and it’s due in no small part to their values.
A strong culture anchored in a clear set of values is essential to building a global organization capable of making a real difference. Generations of partners have kept BCG’s values alive and made them part of the firm’s common language through writing, storytelling, and mentoring. But it wasn’t until 1990 that John Clarkeson, CEO at the time, helped draft a formal statement describing each of these values and why each one matters. Succeeding CEOs have reevaluated and reaffirmed what BCG stands for, maintaining an impressive continuity. These values will continue to underpin everything the firm does to maintain its leading position in the marketplace and remain such a rewarding, inspiring place to work.
BCG's global footprint (more than 90 offices around the world), numerous awards and honors (eight consecutive years in a top-five spot on Fortune's "Best Companies to Work For" list), prestigious partnerships, expanded impact through extended brands, and commitment to diversity make it the place for those who want to discover and nurture their passions and impact the world's most influential organizations and the communities in which they work.
BCG hire people with extraordinary, diverse talents and a relentless desire to improve themselves.
Every new BCGer is hired with the belief that he or she will be a long-term employee, capable of substantial professional and personal growth within the firm. BCG recognize and value each individual's desire for development and work to create world-class opportunities and programming to enable that growth.
Business Services Team (BST) is the operational heart of business and is invaluable to their success. BCG have developed BST career paths that are tailored to the unique demands of each job function and also allow for flexibility in career progression, timing, and specialization. Through a range of learning and development efforts at BCG, they augment promotion opportunities with lateral moves and expanded or dual responsibilities.
No matter which part of the BCG you join, you will:

This investment in and focus on learning and development throughout company allows people to grow in ways beyond what they thought possible and deliver extraordinary value for clients and firm.
Diversity and inclusion are more than ambition; they’re their advantage. Passionate, open-minded people of all backgrounds, genders, sexual orientations, and ethnicities enable them to analyze problems from a broader perspective and challenge established ways of thinking.
At BCG, diversity is one of core founding values. A richness of viewpoints, along with diversity of expertise, experience, and backgrounds, are fundamental to success.
